=======================================================<\/p>\n\n\n =======================================================<\/p>\n\n\n\n Artist book\/homage to Claudio Girola, sculptor, and professor of the School of Valpara\u00edso. The publication is structured in 3 chapters. The first one narrates the arrival of Girola to Chile in the early \u201850s, when he was invited to participate, together with 3 other artists, in an exhibition of Argentinian modern art held at an empty hotel next to the ocean (about to open to the public). The 4 artists that took part in the exhibition were part of Arte Concreto Invenci\u00f3n<\/em> and Mad\u00ed<\/em> Group in Buenos Aires in the \u201840s and \u201850s. Conceived by the Instituto de Arquitectura<\/em> the show was planned to happen \u201clooking at the ocean\u201d, in dialogue with the sea. Each chapter contains a text that interprets the images yet the first one has a more narrative tone, combining facts with fiction. The second chapter shows a selection of images of works by Girola in different locations and contexts, taken in a garden, in front of the ocean, in a construction site, in exhibitions. The images focus on the sculpture’s spatial character, in their dialogue with space.
