Having recently gone through arm-hand surgery, and more importantly in the context of COVID-19, I keep thinking about Poul Gernes late 60s’ radical project at Herlev Hospital in Copenhagen. Farvernes medicin / The Medicine of Colours (2003) is a small yet beautiful book with a text by Ulrikka Gernes and Peter Michael Hornung, accompanied by photos by Steen Møller Rasmussen.
