This series of curtains was produced in collaboration with the seamstresses Nancy and Lucia from the studio Ecuacortinas. The bright fabric of the figures is Lanilla, which is commonly used by the local indigenous woman in the fabrication of their dresses. The background fabric, on the other hand, was partially found in New York fabric stores and partially found in Cuenca fabric stores that specialize in men suites. The designs of these curtains are the first ones that are “open”, made in a notebook without deciding final color combinations. During the fabrication process decisions about color combinations, and other technical issues, where discussed with Nancy and Lucia, opening up the production, making it more horizontal.
