This exhibition took place in the land around an unused glasshouse at Sølyst Island, Stavanger. For the fabrication of the curtains I collaborated with Fayza and Harbia, two middle-eastern immigrants that were introduced to me via an Immigrant Integration School in Stavanger, Norway. Communication was done in very basic English with the support of Google Translate.

Kulturøya is a long-term, open-air exhibition and cultural project run by Leva Urban Design AS. Sølyst is a small island, where you can find expansive nature, several large industrial ship cranes, and a few human inhabitants. Kulturøya aims to transform the island through collaborative artistic action in the art program Find Your Eyes, a series of exhibitions and interventions organized by Monika Wuhrer, founder and director of Open Source Gallery, Brooklyn, New York.
