The exhibition at YONO worked as a hinge between the sculptural actions realized in different areas of Santiago and the party that closed the event (the pieces were de-installed after a couple of hours and in its place, a table with a sound system was set up). YONO was a project by Joe Villablanca, which occupied the garage of an artist-studio house located in the neighborhood known as Barrio Italia. In a way, YONO was the solidary continuation of Galeria Chilena (a nomadic space that Joe had co-founded in the late ’90s), a space for experimentation, a space to play and take risks, a space for young and not so young artists, a place to meet. On the 6th of May of 2011 YONO received an exhibition that transformed into a party.
